Friends, family, neighbors, and a beautiful evening made this a special event with good food, entertainment, and a spectacular setting.
Our annual community picnic at Calumet Park (Calumet Avenue, half a block south of Midway) overlooking the Pacific Ocean was held on hte first Tuesday in August from 5:30pm to sunset.

Another memorable event! Thank you to co-chairs Ali Dommers and Felicia Parker for their leadership, patience, and hard work.

| | | Boulevard Improvements Nearly Done |

As of 7/28/2008, the contractor is nearly complete with only a few plants left to install as well as putting the streetscape (benches, trash cans, etc.) back in place. Once the City signs off, the contractor will have a mandatory 6 months maintenance period. Hopefully the contractor will keep the landscaping looking good.

Remaining work on La Jolla Mesa Drive and La Jolla Hermosa.
New Medians on La Jolla Mesa Drive: The contractor will begin constructing the median on La Jolla Mesa Drive the week of June 30, 2008. This work is expected to take approximately 3 to 5 weeks.
La Jolla Hermosa Roundabout: Construction of the roundabout on La Jolla Hermosa is also scheduled to begin the week of June 30. This work will take approximately 2 months to complete.
